Product Use
The correct use of polyacrylamide (PAM) requires selecting the appropriate product model according to the application scenario, following the operating specifications of the three stages of product dissolution, solution addition, and flocculation reaction, and paying attention to storage conditions and dosage control. The following are specific usage methods and precautions:
1. Dissolution configuration:
Use clean tap water, the dissolution concentration is usually 0.1%-0.5% (that is, 1-5 grams of powder dissolved in 1 liter of water).
Sprinkle the powder slowly while stirring to avoid agglomeration (stirring speed 60-300 rpm, time 40-90 minutes). The water temperature is recommended to be 10-40℃ to avoid degradation caused by high temperature.
2. Solution addition:
The dosage needs to be determined through a small test and calculated based on experimental data.
The product addition point is selected at a place with turbulent water flow (such as the inlet of a pipeline mixer) to ensure that the sewage and PAM solution are fully mixed. It is usually used in conjunction with an inorganic flocculant (such as PAC), adding PAC first and then PAM.
3. Mixing reaction:
The stirring intensity is gradually reduced to avoid destroying the floc structure, and the reaction time is adjusted according to the nature of the sewage (such as 10-30 minutes for sludge dehydration).
- Precautions
Storage conditions: dry and cool (5-30℃), avoid moisture absorption, agglomeration or high temperature degradation.
Compatibility: Avoid direct contact with strong acids, strong alkalis, and strong oxidants.
Safety protection: Wear gloves and masks when dissolving to avoid long-term contact with the skin.
Solution aging: Use within 24 hours after dissolution to avoid long-term ineffectiveness.
- Key error avoidance
Incomplete dissolution and direct addition will cause pipe blockage.
Using metal containers (such as iron) may cause degradation of the agent, and plastic or stainless steel containers should be used.
Product Packaging
Polyacrylamide products are usually packaged in 25kg/bag plastic bags or composite paper bags.
The packaging should be kept intact and sealed during storage to prevent the product from absorbing moisture from contact with the air and to prevent impurities from mixing in.
Secondary sealing: If the original packaging is opened for use, the remaining product should be secondary sealed in time to avoid long-term exposure to the air.
