Polyacrylamide is a chemical flocculant for water treatment, mainly divided into cationic, anionic and nonionic types. Polyacrylamide (PAM) is a general term for homopolymers of acrylamide or polymers obtained by copolymerization with other monomers. It is one of the most widely used varieties among water-soluble polymers. Due to the presence of amide groups in the structural units of polyacrylamide, which can easily form hydrogen bonds, it has good water solubility and high chemical activity.
Polyacrylamide can be easily modified into various branched or network structures through grafting or cross-linking, and has wide applications in industries such as oil extraction, water treatment, textile, papermaking, mineral processing, medicine, and agriculture.

1. Granular polyacrylamide flocculant cannot be directly added to the sewage. Before use, it must be dissolved in water first, and its aqueous solution can be used to treat sewage.

2. The water used to dissolve granular polymers should be clean (such as tap water), not sewage. Water at room temperature is fine and generally does not need to be heated. It dissolves very slowly when the water temperature is below 5℃. The dissolution rate increases as the water temperature rises, but above 40℃, the polymer will degrade faster, affecting the usage effect. Generally, tap water is suitable for preparing polymer solutions. Strong acids, strong bases and water with high salt content are not suitable for preparation.

3. The selection of the concentration of the polymer solution is recommended to be 0.1%-0.3%, that is, add 1g-3g of polymer powder to 1 liter of water.

Polyacrylamide is usually packaged in kraft paper composite packaging (with kraft paper on the outer layer and moisture-proof functional plastic film on the inner layer), and the standard specification is 25 kilograms per bag. At the same time, customized packaging solutions are supported as needed. This powder product has hygroscopic properties. If it is exposed to air for a long time, it is prone to caking. It is recommended to store it in a dry, cool and well-ventilated environment to ensure stable quality.
