Polyacrylamide emulsion

 

Polyacrylamide emulsion is the liquid form of polyacrylamide, prepared using dispersion or reverse emulsion polymerization methods. It combines the core properties of polymers with the convenience of liquid products.

This organic flocculant adsorbs suspended solid particles in water through polar groups in its molecular chain, bridging particles or neutralizing their charges to form larger flocs.

Anionic and cationic polyacrylamide emulsions offer wider pH applicability, higher charge stability, better flocculation effects, and lower dosage. They are also suitable for construction sites where large dissolving equipment cannot be installed.

Product Use and Storage

 

 

Handling Precautions

  1. The emulsion must be added slowly to water while continuously stirring (100-150 rpm). Do not pour water into the emulsion to avoid clumping. The recommended concentration is 0.1%-0.3%.
  2. Wear acid- and alkali-resistant gloves and goggles during handling. Rinse skin immediately with water after contact. Do not ingest. If it gets into eyes, rinse continuously for 15 minutes and seek medical attention.
  3. Different types of emulsions should not be mixed. When combined with other agents, add them at a 5-minute interval to avoid adverse reactions.

 

Storage requirements

  • Storage conditions: Store in a cool, well-ventilated environment away from light at 5-30℃. Shelf life is 6 months. In winter, insulation measures are required; freezing is strictly prohibited. If accidentally frozen, thaw slowly at 25℃ and stir thoroughly before use.
  • When storing in large containers, stir or use a circulation pump to mix once a month to prevent stratification. Impurities and moisture must not be introduced during storage.
